Plot holders, Sarah and Gail wanted to raise funds for charity. What better choice than helping Macmillan.

Let’s have a coffee morning. And get the other plot holders to make cakes. And have a raffle!

The date was set, Sunday 2nd October  2016.

Members of the Allotment Association got the site ready, and lots of cakes and biscuits made, raffle prizes donated… and we’re ready.

The weather was very kind and lots of people came to have coffee and cake.

What a good day. The chance to relax, chat with others, enjoy the cakes, opportunity to win a prize. Great.

But the greatest winners were the people who Macmillan support.

A fantastic effort raised £337.20 for Macmillan. Gail received thanks from Macmillan and distributed thank-you cards to those who helped, reminding us that next year’s event will be even better! Thanks Gail & Sarah.
